Well it most certainly is a very busy 5 weeks with multiple flights and an overland transport to prepare for, all of which mean dogs and cats flying to freedom at last. The most anticipated flight day that most have been waiting for is Gorgeous Genti, who has touched so many hearts across the world, so much so that most of the money was raised by all of you wonderful supporters to pay for his flight on 11 December 2015; we cannot thank you enough. Genti’s crate was also kindly donated by a German group so he will travel in style and with complete comfort. Thanks to Genti’s flight, 2 other beauties will also benefit: Beautiful Princa and Little Cara will be able to fly to their new home, how wonderful is that?!
Genti is a long way from the completely paralysed boy that was rescued by Svetlana and Branka from Podujevo, as he has had great care and now tries to walk and run. His foster in Pennsylvania, Dell, will continue the great work and do her very best for him. We are very excited to see how Genti progresses and to see him enjoying his new life.
Sweet Princa has been with us since she was 3 months old when she was rescued by Djellza and Lona and we took them on to our adoption programme. In preparation for her flight and new home, Princa is being fostered with Meg, who has fostered numerous of our dogs when they are due to fly. Princa will be adopted in Pennsylvania with Cara.
Cutie Cara was at a resident of Gracanica shelter and was offered an adoption with Princa’s family so she has been prepared for flight day too. Thanks to Branka for helping Cara and giving us the chance to place her. Cara will have the loveliest big sister ever in Princa, we envisage these two will have a wonderful life from now on.
